1979 Nicholson 345
£25,000
Boat Overview
This is an extremely pretty example of a classic cruiser/racer from the boards of the renown New Zealand designer Ron Holland. Built by Camper and Nicholson, she is hull number sixteen of a total of twenty five built. Although well thought of and fast vessels, the class was discontinued after a change in the International Offshore Racing rules rendered them uncompetitive. That was racing’s loss as these vessels proved to be excellent blue water fast cruising vessels.

Construction and Performance
Very strongly built, three of the class were entered into the 1979 Fastnet race and all three survived unscathed despite being knocked down.
Interior Specifications
Poppy is deceptively spacious with over 6'06" headroom on the centreline in the saloon and generally over 6' in the remainder of the saloon. She has a large double quarter berth, a forward vee berth cabin plus extra berths in the saloon. Originally fitted with two pilot berths, the starboard berth has now been rebuilt with lockers. Otherwise, the accommodation is much the same as when the vessel left the factory apart from usage and the passage of time.
